Rare Antique Russian Ptd COSSACKS Tobacco Humidor Box Vishnyakov Imperial Era. Offering a very handsome Antique Russian Painted Humidor/Tobacco Box. Signed inside by celebrated VISHNYAKOV-- awarded numerous gold Imperial medals. Retains original interior tin foil paper.

Well loved-- inside retains the lingering aroma of tobacco. Lid-- hand painted-- portraying Russian woman peasant and two Cossacks. One playing the accordion and one dancing-- kicking up his heels. Rare to see Cossack dancing on Russian boxes-- usually painted are Troika sleds.

Wear commensurate with age and use. Thumping, bumps and wear on corners-- see images. Crazing on painted lid, but painting itself is in very good condition. Hinges are strong and stable.

Approx-- 5 3/8" by 3 3/8" by 3 1/4 h. Hard to find early signed Box.
