Original Imperial Russian Silver Plated Copper Trompe L'oeil Coin Glass Holder

  
This is a wonderful Imperial Russian silver plated copper trompe l'oeil. The handmade holder features one Russian trompe l'oeil medal and five Russian trompe l'oeil coins. The holder has a decorative trim in a rope like wire.

The holder stands 3 3/8 inches highland is 3 14 inches in diameter at the base. Much of the sliver plating is missing, otherwise in great condition. The glass is a modern replacement. He coins are not real, they are Trompe L oell (to fool the eye), a common motif in Imperial Russian decorative arts. The holder is silver plated copper.
