A magnificent silver plated large serving tray. It was made by the Fraget company which was famous for its high quality silver plated wares in 19th century Russia and Poland.
The factory was located in Poland when it was part of the Russian Empire. The company was awarded the privilege of having the Imperial Russian warrant as part of it's maker's mark due to the quality of their products.
The tray is very heavy it weighs approximately EIGHT POUNDS so that is why I believe it to be bronze rather than brass. The handles are as fine as the silver from the finest quality silversmiths. It came out of Russia with a young expat couple in their twenties who bought it from a consignment shop in Moscow when they were stationed at the US Embassy for their first posting with the State Dept. The size is 22 and 3/4 inches to the end of the handles and 15 and 1/4 inches in width.
