Imperial Russian Faberge Silver Gold Enamel Elephant Figurine by Michael Perkhin. This unique figurine was made by Faberge's most famous head workmaster -Michael Perkhin(who produced near all of the Imperial Eggs).
The Order was formed by an elephant and castle-symbolises chastity and defence of the Christian faith. Faberge's two greatest patrons were Alexandra and her sister Marie Feodorovna, and he shrewdly introduced miniature elephants and castles to his range of products, perhaps at their suggestion. The elephant is preserved in mint original condition in its original Karelian Birchwood presentation box.The box is signed in Russian : Faberge, St. The elephant is realistically modelled, supporting a solid gold blanket surmounted by a gold turret enamelled with white and red champleve stonework. Hallmarked with the high purity 88 silver hallmark with St. Petersburg city coat of arms, and with Michael Perkhin's initials MP in Russian. Now is your lifetime chance to become the new owner of this trasure.
