For your consideration is an exceedingly rare and historically important original antique c. 1894 Imperial Russian period royal presentation cabinet card / CDV / carte de visite photograph of Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna of Russia, hand-inscribed and signed by Grand Duchess Princess Victoria Feodorovna and dated 1894. Royal cabinet card of Grand Duchess Feodorovna measures approximately 8.0" x 4.0". Royal autograph of Princess Feodorovna is hand-signed in pencil with the incredibly rare inscription: Your loving Duchy l, 1894.

This is the only known signed photograph of Feodorovna of its kind signed in this manner, which makes it exceptionally scarce and important, in any condition. Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna of Russia (born Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh; 25 November 1876 - 2 March 1936), was the third child and second daughter of Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. She was a granddaughter of both Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Emperor Alexander II of Russia.
