Beautiful Antique 1844 Imperial Russian 84 Zolotniki Silver Inkwell /w Rats. This stunning inkwell was hand made in Imperial Russia around the 1840s and features. A pair of fairytale rats/mice climbing the side of the round inkwell, one with dagger, the other a hatchet. The back side has a detailed imperial eagle crest plaque and the front side depicts St. The lid hinge is in good shape and opens/closes nicely.

The piece is in very good antique condition with some patina according to age that can be polished away if desired. Measures 3 1/2 (9.5cm) high and weighs 204 grams.
