Antique 19thC Imperial Russian 14K Gold Cobalt Enameled Etched Bangle Bracelet. DESCRIPTION: This is a rare and wonderful antique bracelet from the Imperial Russian period.
This 19th century relic is from the estate of a lady with noble Russian heritage, and one of many pieces we will soon be listing from the same estate. The bracelet is very finely crafted and detailed. It is made of 14k gold, and bears a Russian hallmark on the clasp - the gold was. The piece is heavy (60 grams) and features intricate design and detailing. The hinged, wide flat bangle frame features delicate etched floral designs on the sides, with magnificent guilloche enameling on top, done in rich Cobalt blue that simulates Lapis Lazuli, highlighting gold arabesque designs.The bracelet features a slide/box-type clasp closure. This magnificent Imperial Russian bracelet will make a truly great addition to any collection!
CONDITION: The bracelet is in good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age. There is minor surface micro-scuffing/tarnish, a few losses to enameling, and a very old repair to last hinged panel with push down clasp button - this panel has losses to its etched design. Please review all photos before purchasing.
