The Balalaika is decorated with genuine Russian Malachite semi-precious stone intarsia inlay. The watch has a solid silver open face case, decorated with the Imperial Russian double headed eagle crest on the rear case. The watch has been awarded to the Imperial Russian Officer Captain Boris Semenovich Muhin for bravery. The watch comes from his family estate. The family of the Captain emigrated in Varna city(Bulgaria) after the Communist revolution c 1917. This is much more than a pocket watch -this is a piece of the history. The watch has a fine enamel dial. High grade 15 jewels movement, lever escapememnt, Breguet spiral, Guillaume balance. The watch is 47mm in diameter.
